Billy Kenda is from Jay Creek in the West Macdonnell Ranges, his mothers' country. His father was a Ngaatjatjarra man from Docker River. Billy started painting in the Mwerre Anthurre Artists Studio in 2004, painting landscapes in a graphic style that are full of texture and show a strong sense of country. From 2008, Billy started adding trucks and cars to his paintings and then aeroplanes and helicopters.
