The artist spent most of her childhood and working life on Cherubun Station in the West Kimberley in Western Australia. This work shows a place called Parnay where the Old Women used to camp. In the centre of the work is a permanent waterhole with large flat stones, at its edge in the corner of the work are Mankaja shelters made of bark and branches where the old women slept and sheltered.Share
