Tax Deduction = Guilt Free Shopping

The end of the financial year is fast approaching.

Here’s a tip from Cooee Art Gallery, recent winner of the Creative Industries* and  Excellence in Small Business** Awards.

Buy works of art for your small business before the end of the financial year and claim their cost as an immediate tax deduction.

This is for real... It's not a joke.

You can buy works of art to enhance your office and claim a deduction of up to a value of $20,000 per artwork.

The $20,000 limit applies to each individual item. Small businesses can apply this $20,000 rule to as many individual items as they wish. For example, a small business owner may choose to acquire 5 paintings of $20,000 each, for a potential deduction of $100,000.

Hanging works of art in your offices can promote an image of style and prestige. Aboriginal artworks, in particular, convey a positive cultural attitude and awareness. This can benefit your business and motivate your staff by engendering pride in their work environment, their company, and its core principles.

As with any art purchase, if chosen well, and if you have followed the right advice, it should prove to be a solid business investment.

The following paintings have been especially chosen by Coo-ee Art partners Adrian Newstead and Mirri Leven as ideal purchases to take advantage of this benefit. They meet the dual necessity of being beautiful and canny investments. These and dozens of others are ready to hang in your office, reception, boardroom or showroom.

Why not give us a call and have one of our experienced and knowledgeable staff advise you.
