Maurice Namatjira

1939 - 1979

Born in 1939, Maurice Namatjira was the fifth son of famous Hermannsbourg artist Albert Namatjira. Like his siblings, he learned to paint from his father in the late 1950s. His career was cut short when he passed away in 1977 at the age of just 38.   Collections:     Hermannsburg Art Gallery.; National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne.
