Biddy Timms Napanangka - Her Meditations

Join us for the opening of Biddy Timms Napanangka | Her Meditations. 3rd - 24th August 2024.

Opening on Saturday the 3rd August from 3- 5pm, Art Leven will be serving drinks by Young Henry's & Munda Wines to welcome this vibrant collection of works into the gallery.

"I have just seen Biddy!  We talked about the exhibition coming up.  She smiled so much!  She said she wants to go to Sydney.  We all (her daughter Gloria and me) explained to her it's very very cold there, and maybe raining.  The look on her face translated to brrrrr it's better to stay home in the warm sun.  But she is so proud of her work being exhibited in Sydney.

Her spirit is there with you all.  But in reality she prefers at her age to keep her bones warm in the sun here.  Napanangka is a quiet, humble woman.  She rarely asks for anything that's not hers.  Having a quiet, temperate place to paint and think means a lot to her. Having familiar people talking keeping busy around her means everything."
