STORY
This painting tells the dreaming story of Nampijimpa and Nangala men and women who are taking part in a dancing ceremony. Both men and women from the same skin groups eat and dance with fires sticks day and night for a few days.
A man from another skin group came and made trouble for everyone by dropping one of the fire sticks in the bush and setting fire to the bush. Everyone was angry with the Japaltjarri man. This dreaming took place at mangal downs west of Tanami in the Northern Territory.
