STORY
In my Kayardild language Kabara is the name for saltpan. My Country, where I was born, is near a saltpan on Bentinck Island. The red clay of the saltpan was once used by our old people to treat wounds, this was done by rubbing onto the infected area, also it was used for ceremony and dance. White clay was eaten to cure belly problems and was also applied to the body for war and ceremony.
