BEERBEE MUNGNARI - CARLTON RIDGE
SKU: 20232
Carlton Ridge is clearly outlined here, inbrown ochre, and with the Ord River behind it, and Emu Creek and Springs in green, Maxwell Plains in yellow, Beer-beerk and prises of fine Ord Valley, sadly, most of this area is now beneath the waters of Lake Argyle. Beerbee (pron. Birribee) was born on Waterloo Station in the Northern Teritery and spent many years as a ringer for Jack Kilfoyle on Rosewood station, located on the W.A.- N.T.border, after this stint he went to work on Old Texas Downs. When the Ord River was dammed to form Lake Argyle, a lot of the country that Beerbee knew and loved as a stockman was inundated. These places feature strongly in some of his works.
