STORY
Parwalla is the artistā€™s fatherā€™s country, which lies far to the South of Balgo Hills in the Great Sandy Desert, near Kiwirrkura. It is a large swampy area dominated by sandhills that fills with water after the wet season and becomes abundant with bush foods. These include bush raisins (kantiliyi), bush tomatoes (Pura) and seeds (Minyli). The painting is dominated by the various shades of the surrounding Spinfiex grass, which grows strong and seeds after the wet season.
