Small square works: 30 x 30 cmLarge roundels: 51 x 36 cmSmall roundels: 36 x 26 cmThe installation of small intimate portraits are mounted salon style, as a reminder of their origins .The scene is set in the Sydney area of 1788.Helen has repainted, re historicized and reimagines history, with the likes of Bennelong, Bungaree, and other members of the Erora people of the Sydney area.No longer as anonymous Savage'', Primitive or other as they appear in colonial accounts but instead as equal amongst others.
