STORY
Jane Margaret Tipuamantumirri is an outsider artist who began painting at the Ngaruwanajirri workshop on Bathurst Island, before moving to Munupi Arts on Melville Island. Here, she is looked after by her family. Painting is her therapy, good for her hands and her mind.
Jane loves music and dancing. She has an open smile and always likes to make new friends. Her sister Simplicia tells her cultural stories which she utilises in her practice, also adding her own creations to her repertoire. She is always thinking about her paintings which are based on these traditional stories.
