STORY
"In Gardiya (whitefella) way, this the pastoral lease that runs right back near Deford Downs. This is the cattle country from Bow River. My family used to do mustering around here. That is where they put the panel yards for the cattle to go in. It is near the banks of the river. This country is called Pelican Hole (black fella name Jumulygung) - this is my gully gully (great grandmother's) country. It also belongs to my mother Mona Ramsey. The water around these black ranges is emerald green and has blue hills. Also there is a lot of black bream, turtles, water goannas and crocodiles." Kathy Ramsey
