STORY
“I am painting in the realm of abstraction. My recent paintings are made of fragments, traces, figures, and objects. The marks are physical and metaphysical. Spontaneous and sensuous. I make an examination of the relationship between abstraction and figuration. The figurative objects are amorphous and ambiguous. Visually the lines and objects oscillate between representational and non-representational. They defy identification and categorisation. My paintings are informed by personal experiences and social issues. The fragmented memory of psychological place and a reconstruction of a new life.”
