STORY
This painting depicts designs associated with, Wirrpi a site associated with the Snake Dreaming on the southern side of Lake Macdonald. In mythological times, a large group of Tingari men came and went underground here, where they remained living. The stories and ceremonies associated with this site are considered secret and sacred and therefore are never revealed to those who are not initiated into this ā€�lawā€™. These mythologies from part of the teachings of post-initiatory youths.
