Whether you are a buyer or a seller, our team of art specialists and client service professionals offer assistance throughout the entire auction procedure. We establish relationships with sellers and provide them with feedback throughout the marketing and viewing process.

For sellers, this relationship begins with sound advice on establishing the value of artworks and setting the estimate and reserve strategy that best suits their artworks. Works are professionally photographed, catalogued, and assessed by our in-house conservation and restoration expert. Our specialist staff research and write informative, insightful essays on selected works; these are then presented in hard copy and online catalogues. Our specialists will happily provide buyers with in-depth artist profiles and market analytics on the achieved sales results for comparable works.

Auction viewings are staged at our Redfern premises and strategically chosen locations in relevant cities.

These ensure the artworks can be viewed to their best advantage and enable our staff to provide valuable insights to potential buyers and feedback to sellers that enable them to make decisions that will ensure the best possible result on the night.

Cooee Art Leven takes pride in its customer relations, consultancy, and after-sale service. This includes arranging timely advice and payment following the sale and assistance with the packing and delivery of artworks to their new owners.


Works are exhibited at our premises in Redfern, for a minimum period of 5 days prior to each auction. Additionally, touring exhibitions are arranged in other venues and cities according to the content and value of the sale.


Cooee Art Leven is dedicated to introducing collectors to a series of exciting events, talks, studio visits, gala dinners and cocktail opening nights. Through a relaxed and shared passion for Indigenous and Contemporary art, buyers and sellers can come together with Cooee Art Leven Specialists and share experiences and knowledge.


Clients can register to bid online via our own bidding platform, make a telephone bid, or leave an absentee bid by completing a hard copy or electronic form.


A beautifully researched and written catalogue is produced and sent in hard copy or PDF form to more than 5,000 potential clients in Australia and overseas, with auction alerts sent to more than 300,000 national and international art collectors via the online aggregator, Invaluable. Selected auction items are accompanied by videos, detailed images and comparable artworks in public and private collections.


Interviews about the auction, referencing certain artworks, are recorded with our principal staff and particular collectors/sellers relating their story. Academics speaking about particular pictures or artists may also be included. These are available for viewing directly from the catalogue entry for relevant works.


Cooee Art Leven undertakes a global marketing campaign with far reaching capabilities via partnering sites, enabling us to connect national and international art buyers and collectors with an interest in Aboriginal and Contemporary art. Our in-house marketing campaigns reach over 10,000 clients. Our social media content and stories are curated, newsletters and direct marketing are informative, and specialist videos insightful. Undertaking regular print media and electronic campaigns ensure our mailing list remains current and updated.
