Saddlers Springs on the Mount House Pastoral lease was an important place for bush tucker, water and shelter for the old time bush people who were part of Jack’s family. “In the early days the police and manager of Mount House Station shot blackfellas at Saddlers Springs. The manager at Mount House wanted all the water and feed for cattle, so he and the police went down to Saddlers Springs and shot a lot of people. Some people were arrested and put on neck chains”Share
