STORY
Born in 1936 in central Arnhem Land, Jimmy became one of the most prominent Ganalbingu artists. He spent the first part of his life at Milingimbi Methodist Mission and later started work as a labourer and builder before painting in the late 1970's. He went on to win the Rothmans Foundation Award in 1989 at the NAATSIA Awards in Darwin.
His work was included in a major exhibition in the United States called Dreaming Exhibition in 1988, a show in Paris in 1989 and numerous exhibitions in museums throughout Australia, before passing away in 2005.
