STORY
This striking work is rendered in Jimmy Pike's unique graphic style. Yakarn was travelling with many dogs (Kunyarr) through the Great Sandy Desert. He rested in the shade of a stand of bush peanut trees. They moved on but the dogs became weak. Later they dug a deep hole to escape the heat as they were perishing for lack of water. A tree still stands there to this day representing Yakarn, and the rocks dotting the surrounding landscape are his dogs
