STORY
The owl dreaming story goes back to the Mgarrangkarni (Dreamtime) - two boys plucked the feathers off two owls and threw them up in the air. The Rain God was furious, and when the boys looked up the owls hadnt come back down. They eventually did return, with their feathers back on, and sat on a humpy and watched the rain tumble down. All the people were drowned (the boys tried to run awau by holding on to a kangaroos tail but the roo led them into a large boab tree and they perished there). So after the Rain God had her revenge the rain stopped and the rainbow came out and the owls lived happily ever after.
