STORY
This painting depicts designs associated with the rockhold site of Yumarra, east of Punkilpirri, which is north-west of Docker River in the Walter James Range. The artist has shown the country through which a group of women passed during their travels from Yumarra to Punkilpirri and then north to Tjukula and Talili. Also shown is a large venomous snake which travelled from one home to another and is about to bite an old lady. During their travels the women gathered mangata (quandong) and kampurarrpa (desert raisin).
